The Wolf of the Dead *updated*

Name: Lupe Muertos, The wolf of the Dead

Representation: He is the spirit of Días de los Muertos, and Mexican holiday that celebrates those who have died. Translates to Day of the Dead.

Backstory: When the New World was discovered, and Spain began to colonized the land, Lupe crossed over with his human family, to be in one of the many colonies of what is now know as Mexico, in the year 1492. Back then he was just a simple mut that was taken in by the family of Aguilar. While the adults were out working, Lupe was there to watch over their young daughter, Rosa. For four years thing where good for the colonial family and their dog, until the year of 1496 came, along with the traditional holiday of Días de los Muertos.
The day started off good, with the children painting skulls with colorful designs, enjoying themselves as their parents made ready for when it came for the night where they would visit the graves of their pasted loved ones. But even those good times must end. A fire started in the Aguilar's small home, which quickly started to burn. Lupe and Rosa's parents made it out, they thought they were same until their heard Rosa's scream coming from inside. Lupe reacted on instinct, charging into the house after the girl. Finding the girl cowered into the corner, he grabbed hold of her running back to the exit. The support beams started the far around them, knowing he had to get Rosa to safety, he rammed into her forcing her out the door way into her papa's arms. But before Lupe could get out himself, the house collapse on top of him, killing him.
That night, the family stood at the chard remains of the house where their beloved pet fell. The celebrated Lupe that night. Rosa had made a skull mask in honor of him. Once everyone was asleep Man in Moon shed his light on what remained of the mut, making him what he is now, an anthropomorphic creature. There he found the mask, taking it into his hands. The one thing Manny couldn't fix was Lupe's face which was torn and burned, to the point just looked like bone and muscle. Placing the mask on it became apart of him, his new face. That moment he heard the voice of Man in Moon saying, " Lupe Muertos, you are now the spirit of Dias de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead." From that day on he looked after the day, guiding souls to where their families were so they could be with them for that day and night.

appearance: He has a very long torso, legs, and arms. A built runner, he is quite lanky but fit. Black fur covers his body with a gray mane going down his neck and back, long tail with a lion tuff at the end. He wears a canine skull with intricate designs of colorful swirls and lines. He stand at around 8-9 feet. He wears a orange bandanna around his next along with a belt across his chest to hold his knives against his back. On his wrist he wears silver bracers and on his feet and legs brown leather bands.

gimmiks/powers:
-Soul sight: He is able to see souls of those who have died, which take the appearance of glowing butterflies when they
are further away. Only when they are right in front of him will he see them in the form of in which they were in at their
youth . EX. If he were to see Rosa's soul in front of him he would see her as a either a young lady or as the child she
was when he was still alive
-Shadow travel: A spirit must have a way for travel, his is that of shadow. If he concentrates and pictures where he
wishes to go, he can travel their by passing through a shadow, popping out of another in that place.
-Decay Touch: When he is in either great anger or fear, organic thing will start to decay at his touch. This power he
fears the most to use, because he doesn't wish to hurt anyone with it, not anyone he cares for or that are innocent
that is. EX. If he is angered because a friend of his was hurt and say he was standing on wood. That wood will start rot
and decay until he calms down.

Personality Lupe is fiercely loyal to all he considers a friend, once you are his friend you are apart of his "pack" and will stand by you through anything. Along with that he is protective of them too, often putting himself in harms way, to protect them. In many ways he still has many dog like traits, being rather playful once you get him to open up to you.
However, Lupe doesn't to tend to show much emotion when working or when around strangers, appearing to be quite cold. He is only this was because he fears to loose control of his emotions. Because of this nature he tends to take on that character of darkness to those that don't know him. (Something to compare him to is like the Disney character the Beast)

- Cupid: Be it just puppy love or something else, Lupe is quite close to her. But both spirits are unsure about their feelings
for the other. As of right now he just keeps acting friendly, not wanting to lose his friend.

other:
- He still acts alot like a dog, wagging his tail when he gets excited, growling when he is upset, thumping his hind paw if he
is ever scratched, ect.
- If he is ever to fight the first thing we will use is he teeth and claws, going for the neck of the being (something most
wolves/dogs do if they hunt or fight) Only when he really needs to will he use the five knives he caries with him
- He secretly covers to paint. In his spare time he will find anything he can to use and will start. Because of his love for
color, he will often add to public murals or where there has been graffiti.
- He speaks with a rather thick Spanish accent, and if he doesn't know what the translation for something he tends to trip
over his words trying to get his point across.
